Did I miss something?

I really feel like I missed out on a part of my education; and all because I was born to soon! I had never heard of "The Oregon Trail" until my sister, Megan began discussing dysentery. I questioned her about this disease and she told me that when playing Oregon Trail, upon losing a player to death, a message stating "Johnny has died of dysentery" would pop up. Again today a co-worker mentioned Oregon Trail and couldn't believe that I had never played. Thanks Wikipedia for providing me with all the information I need and helping me prove that I was no longer in elementary school at the height of its popularity. According to Wikipedia, this game was popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. How sad I missed out on all the fun. It seems the game is still in circulation and available for purchase.

An AWESOME game... at least we thought it was cool in school. You'd put the guy you liked as your husband and then your friends as your family... and just wait to see who died first. Then of course, that meant that he would like you if he didn't die - or if your friends died you weren't their friend for that day or even that hour. You know how friendships went back then... too fun!
